Suddenly the wild boar ran down the mountain and attacked Hercules. Hercules fought the wild boar for a long time. At last Hercules captured the wild boar. He tied it up and put it over his shoulder. Then he went back to the king’s palace. The king was waiting for Hercules. When he saw Hercules coming with the wild boar he was afraid. Near the door of the palace there was a very big jar. The king jumped in the jar and pulled on the lid. Later, the slaves pulled the king out of the jar. He was very angry. “Now,” said he, “I will send Hercules to catch Diana’s beautiful stag. That will be a very hard task.
