Her fancy was running riot along those days ahead of her. Spring days, and summer days, and all sorts of days that would be her own. She breathed a quick prayer that life might be long. It was only yesterday she had thought with a 몸서리치다 that life might be long.

She arose at length and opened the door to her sister's importunities. There was a feverish triumph in her eyes, and she carried herself unwittingly like a goddess of Victory. She 움켜쥐었다 her sister's waist, and together they 내려왔다 the stairs. Richards stood waiting for them at the bottom.

언니의 끈질긴 독촉에 그녀는 한참 있다가 일어서서 문을 열었다. 그녀의 눈은 전승을 거둔 듯한 열기로 가득했고, 자신도 모르게 승리의 여신처럼 행동했다. 언니의 허리를 껴안고 함께 계단을 내려왔다. 아래층에는 리처드가 서서 기다리고 있었다.
